DIFC Square Delivered Early: How Siom Marble Met the Deadline — and Exceeded It

There’s a particular kind of pressure that comes with working on a landmark address in Dubai. DIFC Square isn’t just any development — it sits at the heart of the Dubai International Financial Centre, one of the most scrutinized business districts in the region.

We’re proud to say we handed over our scope ahead of the project deadline.

What We Delivered at DIFC Square

Our scope at DIFC Square covered two of the most visible elements in any high-end commercial interior: flooring and wall cladding. When these two surfaces are executed with precision, they define the character of a space. When they’re not, no amount of furniture or lighting can compensate.

Here’s what we installed:

Limra Limestone — Ribbed Finish Limra Limestone is a classic choice for luxury commercial interiors in Dubai, and for good reason. Its warm, creamy tones carry a quiet sophistication that synthetic alternatives simply cannot replicate. For DIFC Square, we specified a ribbed finish on the wall cladding — a textural detail that catches light beautifully and adds architectural depth without visual noise.

Wall Cladding Large-format natural stone wall cladding demands absolute precision in setting-out, levelling, and jointing. Any deviation reads immediately to the eye. Our installation team worked to tight tolerances throughout, ensuring seamless continuity across every surface — from open corridors to more intimate transitional spaces.

Dividers & Columns Stone-clad columns and dividers are one of those details that separates a truly refined finish from a standard one. We wrapped structural columns in matching marble, creating a cohesive material language throughout the floor plate.

Flooring — Fior De Bosco Fior De Bosco is a standout marble. Its dark, forest-toned background threaded with warm veining makes it one of the more dramatic choices available in the luxury marble palette — and it was the right call for DIFC Square’s flooring. We laid it in a pattern and orientation that reinforces the spatial flow of the interior, guiding movement through the space rather than interrupting it.

Early Handover — What It Actually Takes

Meeting a deadline on a project of this scale in Dubai isn’t a matter of working faster. It’s a matter of planning better.

We coordinated material procurement well in advance, locking in our Limra Limestone and Fior De Bosco slabs early to avoid any supply delays — a real risk in the current market for premium natural stone. Our site team ran closely with Al Shirawi Interiors’ programme, sequencing our trades to avoid clashes and keep the critical path moving.

The result: we completed our full scope and handed over clean — ahead of schedule, with zero defect snag items on the marble works.

Working with Al Shirawi Interiors & DIFC

Al Shirawi Interiors operates at the top end of the UAE fit-out market, and the standards on a client like DIFC reflect that. It’s the kind of project where you don’t get a second chance to make the right impression — the client, the design team, and the end users all know exactly what quality looks like.

We’re proud to have delivered to that standard, and to have done so without causing programme delays to the wider project team.
